A Unique Rustic Approach

We embrace every opportunity to add eye-catching, one-of-a-kind features to our clients’ homes. To this new farmhouse, we added a set of rustic barn doors to match the grand fireplace in the living room and the range hood in the kitchen.

Every home deserves a conversation piece, and it’s a true pleasure when we can create something that is both impressive and functional. For this project, we delivered custom-crafted barn doors made from wood, which we distressed with a wheel sander.

The impressive doors separate two distinct spaces. On the game room side, reclaimed corrugated metal from an old barn adds history and character. On the guest bedroom side, the doors are finished with knotty alder to match the trim and bring warmth and softness to the space.

We used our favorite barn door hardware for this project, made by Krownlab in Portland, OR. We love it because it’s sturdy enough (both in function and scale) for the massive doors, and fits the look the clients desired for their beautiful new home.
